I look forward to working with and getting to know you and your child this year. The new school year promises to be exciting and memorable. As we begin our time together, I’d like you to know a little about me.
I was born and raised in Valparaiso. I received my B.S. from Indiana University and my M.S. from Purdue University. This will be my 27th year of teaching, and I’m as excited as ever to try new things and make learning fun. I have taught at Flint Lake since the school opened.
My husband and I live in Kouts. We enjoycountry living and the quiet that comes along with it. Our son, Kyle, got married this summer. It is wonderful to have a daughter (Jennifer). Our nest isn’t completely empty; our little dog, Tex, keeps us company and brings us tons of smiles.
My summer adventure was learning how to ride a motorcycle. My husband, son, and daughter-in-law have their own bikes. I now enjoy riding my own motorcycle when we take a ride for ice cream.
